    Baby Greens

Whatever is nourishing, healing, loving, and inspiring- think upon these things. ~Baby Greens

Baby Greens is an amazing resource for parents that would like to feed their children living raw foods. Baby Greens is a live-food approach for children of all ages. Includes us parents too... I sure learned a lot. I loved the chapter on Digestion and Enzymes, we tend to forget how important our digestion system really is. It is key.

Baby Greens is packed full of information, recipes that actually work and taste good, and everything else in between about why feeding our "babies" living food is so wonderful for them.

{It also stresses the importance of breastfeeding. She writes about her own experience of nursing a toddler} Our society has made it hard for women to feel comfortable nursing, telling them that not only should we only nurse until 12 months but anything past that is inappropriate and unacceptable. Which makes it hard for women to even want to attempt it. We need to do what's best for us, best for baby, and forget about what's best in public.

Baby Greens has recipes for babies, children, and adults. Chapters on Feeding Baby, Toddler Foods, and Recipes for Children.. so many good things to feed your little ones that actually taste good. The No-Bake Granola Bars are great! And the Baby Spinach-Avocado Dip is fabulous especially when you use the grown-up version. I love avocados and guacamole.. it's just yummy.

With tips and information about basic tools and equipment for the kitchen/even kitchen tools for kids you know exactly what you need. And the chapter on activities is great. Our favorite was the Paper Salad Collage or the Bean Mosaics! Sometimes mine and my kids' day gets kinda boring during the winter, no where to go and too cold to play so I found these activities just perfect. I loved the idea of the Herb boxes (I already do this!) and the experiments were pretty neat too.

I loved this book. I have found so many things to love about it, and I am so glad I was able to read it. My children are my life and I want to give them exactly what they need to grow, develop and be HAPPY. Not only am I teaching them good food habits, I am letting them be children too. What an inspiring book and perfect resource.

You don't have to ever go 100% raw but you need to know such importance of eating raw living foods. They are essential. Especially for our ever growing children, we want what's best.. and Baby Greens is a great book to start with.

BUY IT!! Baby Greens is available through Amazon.com for $15.95 and through North Atlantic Books.

My boys love uncooked vegetables - if you cook a vegetable, they're done (except corn and green beans). What a great book to read, though, at any age!

That sounds like a great book! My little one is currently into things like bran muffins, so the no bake granola bars would probably be awesome for her!

Sounds like really good book. My kids are no longer babies, but I sure there is lots in there that can help them eat more green.

I am visiting from SITS too. I always wondered what was the appropriate time to quit breast feeding. It personally doesn't bother me how long anyone wants to do it :) If it makes you both happy well then, knock yourself out : )

I love my kids, my husband, and my dog. I also have slight a obsession with makeup and fashion. I love to cook, make sugar cookies, and craft things. Anything that can make my life easier or prettier... I am pretty much all for! I love shoes, mostly high heels, because they make my legs look amazeballs. Or at least less blah. I don't like laundry. Like at all. But I love clothes. Does that make sense?
