The Delicious and Nutriticous Guide to looking Great and Feeling Younger. Better Living with Whole Foods is more than a diet, it's a sensible guide to healthful eating that will help you achieve lasting weight loss and fitness success.
Alexander Morentin wanted to lose weight the healthy way... without the use of protein powders or harmful diet pills. He ended up losing 101 pounds and 12 inches from his waist! By eating whole foods and exercising regularly. Not only did he lose the weight he was able to maintan a healthy weight and lifestyle. I was amazed.. and extremely intrigued.
I loved this book! Absolutely amazing information. There were so many parts of this book that actually made me think and wonder why I didn't know it before hand. What an amazing resource this is to have on hand!
Better Living with Whole Foods helps you know how to choose the healthiest foods to eat and why. Lets you in on the hidden secrets the food industry doesn't want you to know. Explains exactly how to lose weight and keep it off forever, and how to enjoy better health and rediscover a passion for life! Are you intrigued yet?
I loved everything that I personally learned. Like MILKS. Cow's Milk, (my father already agrees that raw cow's milk is best, and this book confirms it! haha, dad you weren't crazy after all!) and Rice Milk... I already have boycotted most soy anyway. Because Soy tends to mimics estrogen in humans, it is also mucus forming. Yuck. {I do eat whole soybeans from time to time, though.}
He mentions the NO-Carb diet.. and we all should know how bad this is for us. I love the way he wrote about it and the people who do it, "They took their fat burning ability and crippled it" So why do they lose weight.. well you're starving your body, you are bound to lose weight.. but image the weight that will come back the moment you eat normally again. Your body is terrified you will starve it again, so it HOLDS on to every carb you give it. Thus, gaining weight faster. We have to train our bodies to love good foods. WE don't know how crutial sugars{carbs} are. Carbohydrates are essential for our bodies.. WE NEED SUGAR! But it's the kinds of foods we eat that matter. Refined, processed sugars are the killer. We need to teach ourselves to eat the right kind of carbs, benefitial carbohydrates. RAW Fruits and Vegetables are packed with them.
The few chapters in the back are perfect. Each Appendix has it's own information about what food to eat, what to avoid, food lists, recommended resources (markets & stores). Simply a great resource all on it's own.
Alexander Morentin, author of Better Living with Whole Foods, gives easy to read instructions, tips, and lifestyle changes that everyone can do. This isn't a diet, this is lifestyle change... eating foods that actually do the body good. He doesn't tell you what to do, he just give suggestions.. it's your choice if you do them or not. You still eat foods you love, (meat {sparingly}, eggs, snacks and sweets includes CHOCOLATE!, fish.. even milks) it simply has a healthier approach.
BUY IT!! I could probably write all day about this book. It's great. Buy it @ Amazon.com has it for $21.95.

Sounds like an interesting book, I've been looking into this sort of stuff for a while now (and have always disagreed with those low carb diets!)

Stopping by from SITS...Okay I'm buying this book today! I've been working on this since New Years, this sounds awesome. One thing-I didn't know soy is mucous forming? I thought soy was good for you! UGH! So confusing! I don't drink much milk. I have been doing research and was turned off of egs when someone referred to them as ovums. Blech. Anyhow thanks for the book, I'm going to Amazon now.
I've been doing this since having my baby .. or trying to at least. It's AMAZING how different I feel now when I slip up and eat junk. Whole foods fuel us so much better, thanks for the review! I want this book! check me out sitstah:) http://meredithtuttle.blogspot.com
