    The Blue Heron Ranch Cookbook

I love cookbooks.. I own so many it fills an entire cabinet itself. I love to try new things, and I love to cook. I tend to make something new weekly if not every day. I find trying new food a challenge and adventure all at once. Venturing into the unknown, sometimes crying if my meal hadn't turned out proper. But the thrill keeps me coming back for more.

The Blue Heron Ranch Cookbook by Nadia Natali, blends 126 tasty, healthful recipes with lively tales of the Natali family’s adventures. It is not only a cookbook but a story. And such a beautiful book. The illustrations are darling.. warm and whimsical. And the recipes are down to earth and delicious.

I absolutely loved the stories that were told. Heartwarming, sometimes funny, and wonderfully written. The recipes were simply a bonus. Such an amazing adventure of Natali and her family living in the wild of a National Forest at the Blue Heron Ranch. Raising a family in the wilderness, running a medical center, and facing nature's seemingly endless challenges, with the Blue Heron Ranch Kitchen being the center around which these events unfold. The Natali family, have faced fires, floods, bears, mountain lions, and rattlesnakes. They built a home, raised a family of three children, and ran a modest Zen center and fed a myriad of visitors for twenty-five years. This cookbook was inspired by the many individuals who visited our center and encouraged Nadia to write about the meals prepared for their retreats.

The recipes were amazing. Simple yet satisfying. Good enough to feed a crowd. :) I found myself intrigued and ready to start cooking the next chapter recipes.

BUY IT!! The Blue Heron Ranch Cookbook is available through Amazon.com and North Atlantic Books for $21.95

I love my kids, my husband, and my dog. I also have slight a obsession with makeup and fashion. I love to cook, make sugar cookies, and craft things. Anything that can make my life easier or prettier... I am pretty much all for! I love shoes, mostly high heels, because they make my legs look amazeballs. Or at least less blah. I don't like laundry. Like at all. But I love clothes. Does that make sense?
