2. The Total Fitness Videos are an exercise program you can use throughout your pregnancy. Isabel demonstrates the exact exercises you fit and feeling good during you entire pregnancy. This also includes a modification video that will modify each exercise for each trimester (stressing on 2nd and 3rd) so your exercise program continues to be safe during your pregnancy.
3. The Total Nutrition Videos are a series of 8 videos that consist of eating right for each trimester, pregnancy no no's, pregnancy challenges, and after delivery. Find out which food items are not only unhealthy, but may be detrimental to your health and the health of your baby during your pregnancy and thereafter. Isabel De Los Rios actually mentions nutrition for each trimester individually and she gives you 7 Key Principles for a perfect pregnancy meal plan. She tells you exactly what to eat and why.
*When she talks about the vitamins, I was so impressed! She goes into detail what foods {vitamins and minerals} have what your body needs and why your body needs them. Eating more "natural and whole" foods are amazing for your body.
What I LOVED about this program... she tells you exactly what to avoid. Now some are no brainers, but she explains WHY they are dangerous. I loved that she said to AVOID artificial sweeteners! And typical Soy products (different then Asia's soy) I already avoid these, but I loved how she explained the reasons why and how to find out if they are in your foods by reading the labels. (she also gives a list of all fish both safe and unsafe because of mercury, this was perfect; my husband and I love fish) We shouldn't diet while pregnant, just be more aware of what we ingest.
I am not currently pregnant, but my husband and I are ready to begin the "trying!" I really fell in love with her advice and information. I have been more and more aware of what I am putting in my body after gaining a whopping 65 pounds with my 1st child!! {lost almost all before I got pregnant again} I only gained 20ish pounds with my other 2, but with the help of Isabel De Los Rios I KNOW that I will give my baby and my body everything it needs without packing on the UNNECESSARY pounds. I am also looking forward to a fast delivery and getting my pre baby body back sooner.
I also took her advice and added a list of do's and don'ts to my refrigerator reminding me EVERY DAY.
I found very helpful Isabel's "Day in the Life" article where she tells you how she ate (with some examples of what she ate per trimester) and when. She also fits in a workout in the mornings as well. I really enjoy looking a typical day, I know my days are crazy with children, but I know I need to schedule myself better so I not only get it all done but eat healthy along the way.
